The Word To Come On Sunday April 2

On Sunday April 2, 2017 at the 10:45 am weekly full church service Dan Slisher will be sharing what the Lord has given him for us now, in this time.

His message this week will be on “Stepping Into the Flow of God”. This message will be based on the text from the book of Ezekiel 47:1-12.

Who is Dan Slisher

Dan’s passion is to teach the Bible in such a way that listeners grasp and apply the Sacred Truths of Scripture, making Jesus Christ Lord and Savior over every area of their lives. That has been his mission since he was ordained for ministry by Elim Fellowship in December of 1986.

Dan and Molly have been married for over 40 years and originally are from the State of Ohio. They have pastored churches in New York and New Jersey and served as missionaries in Tanzania and Kenya over the last 30 years.

They are also the proud parents of 3 children and grandparents to 8 grandchildren.

Come On Out This Sunday!

A word in season is always welcome. Come listen and learn as Dan shares from Ezekiel.

This Week At Door To Hope

Pastor Barry would like to remind everyone that we have week four of the Hosting the Presence (an 8 week series), coming up on Sunday April 2, 2017.

Hosting The Presence

The 8 week series by Pastor Bill Johnson of Bethel Redding Church, in Redding, California, has been going on now for three weeks.

Join us at the Church office building at 9:30 am on Sunday April 2, for week four.

Week four will be discussing “A Sneak Preview Of God’s House”. Jacob received a prophetic blueprint for the normal Christian Life in Genesis 28.

Jesus was the initial fulfillment and model, but he ultimately pointed to the Presence empowered community of believers— the Church—-as the house of God, the fulfillment of Jacob’s dream.

Such is characterized by an open heaven, the voice of God, and a continuous flow of supernatural/angelic activity from one world to the other.

“The Lord has built His house on the edge of two worlds” …..Bill Johnson

What’s Coming Up

Week 5 will be “The Answer To Ancient Cries

Week 6 will be “The Prototype For Normal Christianity

Week 7 will be “Keys To Practically Releasing God’s Presence

Week 8 will be “Your Baptism Of Fire

The Real Joy of the Lord!

What is the real joy that comes to us when we know the Lord. It is very hard to describe. Especially to an unsaved friend, or an acquaintance and especially to a stranger from God’s ways.

As you can see from scripture, Joy is one of the nine fruits of the spirit that we all have been given by the Holy Spirit when we were born again. Stir up your gifts. They are yours and they may be dormant inside you right now but stir them up.

Galatians 5:22-25 New King James Version (NKJV)

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. 24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

Also you can go to I Corinthians. There Paul tells us that these gifts are there to be understood with the God given wisdom. These things need to be discerned by your spirit. Lift up yourself. Count it all Joy, in everything you do and experience.

1 Corinthians 2:6-9 New King James Version (NKJV)
Spiritual Wisdom

6 However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. 7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, 8 which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

9 But as it is written:

“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
Nor have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”

With this in mind here is a great inspiration on the subject of Joy. Study and be edified.
